I think I wont bother now, my 330D doesnt really fit any classes, and as for tyres not being on List x,y, or z, I'll just get my coat.

You can see why its such a turn off for newcomers....

I've got to agree with this although I will be giving it a go next year regardless of the silly lists!!.
I've been out of motorsport for 25 years and am finally in a position to return albeit on a small budget.

E marked black round things make perfect sense for a roadgoing class!!

Can't see many roadgoing competitors on here bemoaning tyre lists, are you coming over to the proper competition next year G?

You aren't reading the same thread that I am then......the tyre lists are a PITA - particularly of late with the list 1c thing. It's hard enough trying to describe speed regs as they are to a newcomer without then coming to the tyre list debacle!

Not since last year, however I still have to think about the poxy lists even though I'm not, because my car is road legal and some of the classic events/classes won't allow list 1c tyres!!

Some changes to the permitted tyres have been published in the monthly update here. The changes seem to be additions for List 5 - cross country events.

Lets hope that is the end of the changes for 2018!

It won't be the end of changes ...... The UK distributors of Extreme VR1s have said these will be List 1B from 1st Jan 2018 and this hasn't yet been announced by the MSA. I think there will be other changes to List 1A, 1B and 1C.

Interesting that HANS devices will now have to have an MSA sticker as well as crash helmets.
