You have my sympathy ... I used to have a Caterham Superlight 'R' and the removal of Kumhos and ZZRs from List 1B was a real blow.

Looking on the bright side - a road legal, moulded, semi slick for the Clio at 46 Euro a corner (inc of VAT) has really cheered me up

Ive moved onto slicks and am quite enjoying it apart from the cost of the damned things

New UK Supplier

I have been using the Extreme VR2 tyres now for about 6 months - I found them to be very grippy and at a good price. Interesting that 60% of Class A3 at Castle Hillclimb were on Extreme VR2's ... so they are gaining popularity in the road-going classes.

I've just ordered another set direct from the factory and I have been asked in future to go through the new UK supplier as it saves exchange rate hassle and a few quid on postage. For anyone else looking for a good, road-legal, List 1B tyre then the contact details for the new UK supplier are -

Not too bad a price i think compared to the R888R @ £87 plus delivery from DT
Hi. I was wondering how you got on with the super soft VR2 tyres. I'm not sure if these would suit or to go for the soft compound.
Thanks
