Doesn't Europe run a 1.7 factor already?

Possibly but why should that affect the UK? There are lots of cars that compete with forced induction that will end up in different classes making them uncompetitive, especially bike engines cars that will end up in the over 2 litre classes. These cars wont have been developed without considerable time and money so there will be a lot of pi$$ed off owners

A 1.7x factor makes more sense - a turbo 'Busa is a million times better than a tuned Duratec.

1.7 is the norm in nearly all other countries and series. but that will have massive cost implications for a lot of people in uk hillclimbing/sprinting. jeeze....

It might make sense for FI bike engines but not for cars. Makes no sense.

It would take the max cc down from 1428cc to 1176cc
Rather harsh on the Road Cars
