Is the film clip at the Top Gear test track a very good CGI, what do you think?

your namesake in pershore has a fabricator that helped in the building of a GpB replica . I did the cast inlet manifolds/and cover using the original works ones to copy . I believe that it was use by a member of the slowly sideways gang because his original was too precious to risk .

Very cool project. 5 pot vag engine available in uk also as fitted to audi tt-rs and rs3. Monster power possible, 500hp with just some software tuning and a mild turbo upgrade.

Yep, it's effectively that engine Rob. Fitted to the US version of the Golf in non turbo, non TFSI form. We are taking one of these, with forged crank, then adding steel H pattern rods, forged pistons, new bearings, bigger injectors, big fuel pumps, meaty inter cooler and an aftermarket ECU - and then bolting on a mid size Garrett blower (something like a GTX3076). With some trick manifolds and what I believe is known by the techies as a "big sod off exhaust" we're hoping for around 500 hp at the wheels. It's a road biased car though so I'd rather have less power if it means less lag. Unless Nic Mann has a spare turbine lying around...

On a separate note, in what is probably the most extreme case of "cart before the horse" ever, the seats arrived today from Germany!
