OMS CF09 TT4

After buying Iain Davidsons CF09 in bits a few months ago, I have finally managed to get all the bits into one garage and put it roughly on it's wheels.

The plan is a 750 turbo running in the 1100 class, lots of boost, traction control blah blah. Basically all the stuff I've been developing on the mini for several years stuck in a single seater (although not the A-series!).

Here's a cheesy pic of me going brummmmmmm.

Roots blower is a swear word in my house. Bendy cranks are however are standard fitment.

I look forward to seeing how you get on, if anything similar to the turbo charged snowmobile engines it will be rapid.
Standard engine or is it going to be all singing ?

Rob

Spec of engine is yet to be defined. Budget is the limiting factor. But it'll all be done in my garage. As with the mini engine, standard parts stand up well to turbo charging. It's revs that kill engines. Good heat management is the key.

I have a sensible bhp target.

Cracking idea, 750 turbo should get you well north of 200bhp, I've been planning this for ages but done nothing about it!

Hi Will
As a follwo up after or chat at Harewood, please send me details of the car and I'll update the OMS Register.
Good luck with the 750 turbo!

I was thinking a 750 turbo would be a good bet in the 1100 class. Be interesting to see how quick it is.

Of course it won't be the first. Barry Whitehead was reasonably successful with a supercharged 750 a few years back.

What engine are you planning to use Wil?
