Norma M20B

Thinking about running one of these with a Honda K20 engine in it on sprints in the UK. Anyone have any experience/views on these cars?

Don't think I've ever seen one in the flesh but they look nice.
There's a Juno up here with a k20 bored out to 2.2l and it's an absolute flying machine!

Jeff, as far as I am aware there are no Norma sports libre cars running in the UK so spares may be a problem. There are a few Radicals which use a 1500cc Suzuki Hayabusa unit.
I believe that a Radical SR8 that is "up North" will soon be for sale.

Also on the site where the Norma is for sale there is a Radical SR5 with the same Honda unit fitted.

One of the paddies is running one in Ireland. He took it over to St. Goueno with him this year. I will try to find more details.....I also believe that one finished up in Scotland a couple of years ago, an ex. Castelano car..

There are a couple that I'm aware of, but certainly not in quantity.
One's running in the Irish hill climbs, the other, based in Scotland, does some European championship.

ETA: It appears to be the Irish one that's for sale.

I don't understand why people rate Radicals so high like they do. Having looked at a few different prototype car recently the Radicals are agricultural in comparison and over priced in my honest opinion. If I was to buy a car it would be a Norma or a Osella and if money wasn't an issue a Wolf GB08 would be top of the shopping list.

I wouldn't get one of those Jeff.... not unless you buy me one too with a bigger engine first...
I have to say they look the dogs do dahs and seem to be pretty dominant in Europe. I guess the spares availability might be an issue. A little bird tells me Ligier (now with a lot of ex Radical folk there) are putting together a Radical priced Sports libre car. I think they will support it locally too....

I agree, I had a Juno for a year and superb car. But like you, would love a Wolf with carbon tub. Mind my DJ is enough for me for the moment
