Wonder what the admirals must think of this

Anyway, slightly back on topic if I can...

Is it possible to run without a distributor but still run regular spark plug leads?
I do have 4 coil packs but they are somewhere in the workshop in a box and I have not got a clue where that may be but have 4 sets of leads and plugs from non-coilpack engines. (Plus it's a cheaper fix to buy 4 new leads and plugs than a new coilpack)
