Rotary engine class

Hi guys,

Ive been looking around and interested in trying a sprint/hillclimb event.

I`m in the process of putting together a Mazda RX8 (rebuilt engine) apart from wheels and suspension it is all standard, Im just a bit confused about the class it would be in?

I have read the literature and beleive there is a 1.5 multiplier added for rotary so 1.3 x 1.5 = 1.95 .

So as a standard 4 seat car what class would I be in?

Thanks

Entirely depends on what events you're entering. In the South East/East Anglia that would be class A2.

The MSA Blue Book defines the categories for cars and the rotary engine equivalence of 1.5, which you may well have found in Section S of the MSA Blue Book (p344).

Classes within those categories are at the discretion of event organisers. You can look at those event-by-event, although if there is a regional championship in your area I suggest having a look at their championship regs as local events will generally follow those. Where are you based?
