I'm looking to get my VW Polo G40 vehicle passported, is there anyone on here that is able to do it N.Wales, Chester or N.West areas. Don't have an issue taking the car to an event if its easier.............sooner the better please.

Regards

Have a look in the Blue Book for a local scrutineer's contact details and get in touch - many are willing to travel locally to come and see a car to do the necessary.
It may be possible at an event but depends on how busy they are.

Try robin Parker from Chester way, Steve walker from Liverpool. Both national scrutineers and regulars at speed events.

Needs to be a National Scrutineer. You can help ease the process by filling in all the details on the Passport form which can be downloaded from here https://www.msauk.org/Resource-Centre/Technical-Car

See if you could arrange to meet a scrutineer at Aintree on Saturday where there is a trackday.

That would actually be extremely useful for me too, if you do manage to arrange something at Aintree please let me know. I could do with mine doing too and I'll be on the trackday.

Apols for slight thread hi-jack, but I'm way out of the loop these days - have these vehicle passports replaced the CCLB's? We're going to have to sell our Mini soon which is log booked for mod-prod., is it going to need to have a passport instead now?

No. The passports are for cars required new 'logbooks' under a different name and only last 10 years before needing renewal
