Seat dates

Do seats have to be in date in all classes including roadgoing?

Seats do not need to be homologated, but I'd advise that if you are fitting a competition seat to consider a currently homologated seat and mounts. There has been research by the FIA which uncovered that GRP and composite seats do degrade with age. I've also seen seat mounts fail which then results in the seat moving about and the belts effectiveness being seriously reduced.
