Roll cages in class A roadgoing

MSA say that roll cages are not required but are advised in roadgoing saloon classes, I have a rear cage fitted & am considering adding a front one.
However, a dash dodging one seems pointless, can I modify the dash & cut away the side sections to fit a cage?

RichardBrant will become famous soon enough
I've cut the top of my dash to fit my full cage in my Clio but it was very minimal.

I can't see anyone having an issue with dash trimming to fit a cage as whatever you save in weight from the dash you're adding in ten fold with the cage.

Although on a personal note I'd try and make it look tidy and not like you've attacked the dash with an angle grinder (which I have seen)

No problem
K.1.2.2
Members may intrude into the interior space by passing through the dashboard, front side trim, rear side trim, and rear seats which may be folded down.
