Loton Park

Well if you survived the rain on Saturday you deserve a medal but fortunately the sun came out (at times) on Sunday and we had a great days hillclimbing again with some exciting class battles and a load of Personal Bests. You can read my take on it here and hopefully will get the pictures on Flickr tomorrow. These back to back weekends are not just hard for the drivers and crews you know!!!!

I usually take photos on the Saturday but the cameras stayed in the car all day. Hopefully it will be a tad drier at Doune this week-end.

Sat was a damp day, but not to miserable, I went up on fast tick-over.

Reading the good report above, must make a small correction about my Lola.

The car was indeed a silhouette racer in the late 80's built then for Allan Humberstone by John Schneider and Tony Harman using a body out of the David Enderby mould as the picture of David's car. It had a 500 BHP Ford turbo rally spec engine at that time and raced once.

A few years ago while researching the car's history I had a chat with David who would allow me to take a body off the moulds if I wanted to. Too long to get in my small garage!
The car was painted a bright pink with a huge black rear wing. The body was destroyed in an accident in storeage....
Graham.

No need to apologise at all.
It took me 4 years to sort out the real history of the Lola and find the chassis number.
It would make a good TV prog for 30 mins.

Graham.
