Testing is rescheduled for next week. I'm at Blyton on Monday to setup the DJ aero, then at Blyton again on Thursday for a coaching session with Triple M. Then we're off to Combe Saturday, and Rockingham on Sunday.

Combe is going to be tough. Almost the entire BSC field are out for the first event of the championship. Pete and I are both in E4 with the Calders, John Graham, and Graham and Terry, so its a big class of V8's to play with.

Rockingham the following day is an HSA round, though Smiles and various other BSC drivers are in attendance, so that should be another good scrap for overall honours.

Following Pete's visit to NMS in February, he and I now have approximately the same power (Pete 320bhp/300ftlb vs Graham 314/261), so it will be interesting to compare times.

I'm going back to NMS soon to get the torque increased on mine. We capped it at 261ftlb in 2017, and the car ran reliably all year, so its time to add a bit more boost and see how much further we can push the engine.

For the 2nd time, snow has denied me the chance to set the wings up as Mondays trip to Blyton is now cancelled.

Thursday is the next chance, again at Blyton. Fingers crossed its a warmer day.

Looking at getting a T32 VW kombi for towing this year. Test driving this hopefully on Friday. 6sp manual 4motion. Comes with factory tow bar, 1 owner, 64 plate.

It'll be a nice change to sleep somewhere other than inside the trailer too.

Testing didn't go according to plan. Issues with the front wing mount meant just 7 laps were completed.

Its been modified today and I'll see how it goes tomorrow. Hopefully I can get above 80mph or I'll be putting the mygale wing back on. The rear wing, side skirts and wider floor all worked OK, the car felt on rails round the twisty bits of Blyton.

Fitted the wets on the spare rims. A busy day today, and I'm hoping to get in to the Top 12 run offs tomorrow at Combe. Fingers crossed.

The modifications didn't work so I had to swap the wing for the mygale wing after a very slow P1, and then on slicks I did a 139 T1, and then with less rear wing to counteract the understeer I went 9s quicker 130.60s to finish 4th in class and 10th oa.

I qualified 9th in the top 12 run offs but did a 133 and a 131 and finished 11th to score 2pts.

Shame the front wing didn't work :-(

Rockingham tomorrow :-)

I forgot to say, I forgot to fit the timing beam splitter on my first practice run, but no one said a thing they just staged me using the front wheels to break the beam. Why do we need splitters anyway?
