Prescott Noise (Again)

Drive by noise testing suspended today at Prescott. Random static testing tomorrow. It's only been there for 6 years, you think they would either make it work or get rid of it.

It is a joke - make up rules to suit how much pressure they get ! Having lost 2 X run off results on last run of 2 meetings - they altered end results of British in 2015 by banning me Josh Trevor Dave Uren and others - now that is a made a
mockery by giving up with their proven faulty system - well done Prescott - I have total contempt for them. Back to my round roundy !!

Drive by limit was 107. I did 105.50 first run, 108.20 second. Got my ticket along with Scott, Alex, and a few others. The bizarre one was Charlie in the FF1600 at 109 dB!!!! Impossible, as the silencers on those are designed for Combe and other "quiet" circuits to be below at least 98dB.

I understand they have a problem with neighbours, but 12 months ago the system failed and it has done again. I have a big skip if they need somewhere to dispose of the sound gear!!!!

Fantastic weekend at the Lawns, but once again spoilt by this ongoing issue.

We all had a lovely weekend at Gurston, so quiet you could hear the sky larks!

On the plus side the first run off was one of the best I've ever seen in terms of not knowing what to expect! Dave Uren was absolutely flying.

I loved Trevors BTD speech regarding the Noise Meter with subsequent clapping and cheering.

Chris, I can't remember the text verbatim but more or less '......we were all delighted when the noise meter was thrown in the waste bin where it belongs....'

Personally I think Prescott should revert to static testing and ban tyre warming, an adequate sop to the anti noise residents (who should spend their energy suing the solicitors they used to buy their properties next to a motor sports venue!) and would I guess save an hour over the day..................

Oh, thats fine

If they also considered ending bands, can can displays, steam organs etc that would lower the ambient noise floor.
Then they could lower the PA level.
Once these steps have been made then just running the cars at their current level should be enough to stop any moaning.
