Not a bad weekend at Prescott for the British Midland Championships. The Pug was flying Saturday with top weather the recent suspension work shined through as I was taking Orchard near flat. Speed under the bridge was 80mph for each Practice run on Saturday and it felt fine no drama's. You can see in the below shot that grip was good also at Ettories. I struggled a bit with Pardon again but had a chat with Ex owner Richard Saturday night and took his advice with the best way to take it so that was the plan of action for Sunday. But both runs Saturday were in the 46s. Unfortunatly the weather was utter shocking for all of Sunday and as we had no wets I took to the timed run on full slicks which was fun !!! As the weather didnt improve I decided not to risk it anymore and packed up for the day. I will hold my hands up and say I dont feel confidant driving it hard in the wet haha. There is always another day and we have 3 Events left to keep us busy before the end of year.

Thanks James will have a look!
And you Alex !

Hit Mira sprint on Saturday just for something different ! Bashed in a 51.53 which was enough for a 2 second lead win out of the 8 in class. Luckily the rain gods let me have a dry timed run for once before it started raining heavily. . Only did the one timed run as there was no point going out for the others in the pouring rain. She still topped out on the main straight though way before the tower corner . So had to lift and half throttle her off the limiter which would be 100mph ish for what seemed like 6 seconds ! But its another place to tick off the list. No pictures or vids as always we had this sticker over the kit from entering the site.

Nice video put together by Hill Climb Monsters of my recent visit to TWF.

We will be back here on Sunday as I managed to get an entry in. My aim for the day is a 30 second Run.

Really gave it my best shot at Shelsley On Sunday just gone and got a 31.53 on my last run. Pug ran really well yet again ! Im sure a 30 is in her but tbh that place could do with a resurface, some right chunks of tarmac taken out over the weekend with roll overs and an Evo endoing its nose into the ground at Crossing. It was a cold day which didnt help grip levels.

We are at Loton Park again this weekend so really looking forward to that as I love that Hill ! Plus the class is pretty full with Satchell and Steve to name a few.

Heres my 31.53 run from Shelsley in the mean time below.

Loton Park went well and got into the 55s at last ! Was good enough for 3rd place.
Prescott American meeting was tricky. They had the old cars vintage meeting a week or so before hand and the track was in utter crap condition oil everywhere. . I was in the handicap class which is great on a nice dry hot day but trying to better a 46 in the wet / damp wasnt happening. Got the van stuck in the trailer field also friday night which was fun and pretty much set the day to follow. 47s was the best / brave it around the corners I could do. ! So that being the last event its onto the upgrades for 2018.
We have some ideas knocking around for the winter , a Motec M48 ecu and a fresh new map. The Gems ecu needs removing along with the rubbish “Pride Engines” map and the whole lot needs setting on fire.
Rear beam needs a rebuild , new rear tyres , seat needs its fixings reworked and a lot of other bits need fixing that have proved not to work in current position.
So yeah its gonna be a tad busy !

Overall, a great year with the car being reliable and strong!
Well done for sorting the big stuff out though a new ECU and map sounds hard work to get right to me.
Good to have an improvement plan for the winter, 5 months to go until the March Test day at Loton.

It helps Keith is a Motec dealer. So he will have it up and running spot on in no time at all .

Ah, I didn't know that.
Agree, he will have it spot-on well before the season starts.
I hear he is coming back to the hills with the AUDI 80 in over 2 litres.

That will be quite a class next year, it will be magic.
