Someone on here (I'll keep them anonymous) has very kindly offered Eve a car to share if RBS isn't ready. What a kind community UHR is!

She is bowled over by the generosity (and all of the wonderful messages of support).

What an amazing character Barry was, the paddocks will not be the same without hearing 'BLOODY HELL EVE!' as another RBS challenge presents itself...
Wonderful guy, and getting to know him and Eve better has been one of the absolute highlights of joining the 5a class.
I hope I will have the kind of enthusiasm and passion that Barry did for this amazing sport for as long as he did.
RIP Barry

RIP Barry, what a character he has been in the paddocks up North for more years than any of us can remember. Spent a lot of the time fixing his car or helping others fix theirs and because of this seemed always to have a few suggestions when the gremlins seemed to hit our car. Thanks Barry for all your help in the past, you will be definitely missed in the paddock by all of us.

Thank you,

Rob

sadly missed

We are really sad to hear the news of Barry. our thoughts are with Eve and the rest of the family. It was always a pleasure to see Barry and have a chat and see what latest methanol, supercharged RBS creation was under development, he had a true engineering mind, always looking to modify and try new things. We always enjoyed seeing and hearing Barry and Eve.
I am very grateful to Barry as when I snapped a strut on my focus at 3 sisters on a first practice, I shot to Preston for parts and tools, I got back to 3 sisters to find the circuit full of marshals cleaning up a trail of oil left around the track by the RBS. it allowed me time to repair my car and just miss one practice so I thanked him for his assistance.
Barry you will be sadly missed but you will not be forgotten it was a pleasure to have known you.

I'll manage the info that way so that it is all in one place.

Thanks Craig, sorry for not replying before but we have been away for the weekend. Eve rang me Friday morning just before we left.
Regards Mel.

If anyone wants to make a small donation to the Wigan and Leigh Hospice then Pm me for a Just Giving link.

What a wonderful job they did taking care of Barry in his last few weeks.

Regards,
Craig
