Have to say what an awesome weekend that was, I was the very last runner in the L7 class (yes all of us ) and after farting around in practice over 2 days managed some decent times in the timed runs.

Second Timed run 32.90s

How not to do it, first practice clearly too early for brain to be connected to hands and feet...

Thanks to all the organisers, marshals and other competitors for making us feel very welcomed again.

Same again for next year on the weather please

Rob

Was a fantastic weekend. Well done Tom very well driven. Alex summers new record was very impressive, as well as his top 12 results.
The stand out car of the weekend for me was the Raptor, the traction and the acceleration out of Ashes was insane. No other car came out of that corner quicker. Was interesting to see all the work on the car and lee and Jos went really well.

One of the drivers in the old "ex Will Hall Force"must have been running a reasonably close 2nd for exit speed with one the fastest 1600 speeds over the line at 119mph

Hi gemmerson - it is a POV.HD

Cannot recommend it (or dogcam highly enough)

Not the cheapest solution, but the output quality is amazing (HD DVD quality), all the youtube videos have to be dumbed down as otherwise too big, even for a 30s run...

Email me if you want more detail

I use a ViO PoV HD system too and completely agree with Rob's view. Remote radio control start stop is also very handy as is an in-car mini LCD screen for alignment and playback. Mine is also wired to the vehicle battery. I tried lots of different cameras and this was the best of the bunch for vibration resistance, full HD quality, features etc. It's not cheap but you get's what you pay for as they say. As Rob says, the youtube footage is often down scaled - the native quality is jaw dropping. Cheaper options are one of Rob Capper's GoPros or the Contour - both good and significantly cheaper the the ViO.
