R1 ECU Buffs........?

Morning All,

Does anyone know what the codes and letters on the R1 ECU mean?

The one on the car is Pic 1 with the designation B on it, the other (Pic 2) has a slightly different part number and designated C.

Does anyone know the difference, and will C work in place of B?

They are both off 1998/99 NA R1 engines.

Thanks
Jan

One way to find out! I doubt there is much difference. I also doubt there is a fault on the first one if that's what you are looking at?

Thanks Rob, I want to eliminate it as a problem - I have an issue with the car after an electrical incident, its not running right and there is a possibility the ECU saw voltage it wasn't supposed to (and maybe damaged it), the original issue is now fixed, but its still not running right - wanted to back-to-back them and see if that's the problem, or at least eliminate it.

I take it they are normally pretty reliable then?
