You really should spill the beans Rob. If these people have more in stock they will sell to unsuspecting punters who are struggling to stay in this game through lack of finance.....I would be knocking on someone's door.....

OK TRS and it was sales that answered not the tech guy. I think should have at least offered to change or alter to suit my bushes

'Single seater' or 'formula' harnesses will usually be 8mm, saloon or sports car 7/16. Although all manufacturers when delt with directly will make the belt to what you want.

Ah!
Thought it was TRS. I have their belts and they were custom made and I detailed the end fittings at the time on the spec sheet. I sent them my old belts to copy the lengths etc. Have to say the service was superb! Keep chasing them. |

TRS I have found to be excellent in all respects, as with any organisation it depends on who you speak to. James Ledamun is a name you should ask for.

Ditto TRS, but...they are in a bit of a pickle just now with a long back order. IIRC moving factory or some such. So perhaps just a blip, all be it irritating.

The harness is fine, I have had TRS belts before so will use this one but the person who answered the phone needs to improve her customer service

Each time I've had to buy harnesses, I've always filled out the form - it's amazing how many options there are.
When phoning around, NONE of the suppliers/manufacturers I spoke to mentioned the option of custom ones until I specifically mentioned it - not good enough if the (potential) buyer is new to the process.

Indeed, the options are huge!
This was why I filled the form in nad posted my old belts to them to confirm the lengths. The Lola fitment was quite awkward. The custom belts are sewn by a lady off line so are literally hand made to the drg (and parts in my case). Mine came back in 10 days and bolted in perfectly. Hope they sort things out for you. |
