I'll make it to Loton Park one day...

... just not today.

GWJ's BMW suffered turbo failure half way there.

24h after i phoned the AA and a brief (0215-0930) overnight stay in Stirling i'm finally home.

It sounded awful going through Triangle.

You were not alone.

Hi Dave,

I was also recovered by an AA lorry on Friday! Had my moneys worth i think.

Got recovered back to Toms and used his van to get to Loton.

In all for a journey that should have taken 3.5 - 4 hours...........it took 11 hours from Leaving Toms the first time til reaching Loton.

Still not quite as bad as yourself.

New gearbox required for the Vivaro tho!

See you at Harewood.

When you take out breakdown cover does it automatically include a trailer or do you have to specify trailers / caravans etc ?

Sorry i should know this but cant remember.

I just payed for Relay/Recovery which is approx £100, and when i phoned up saying i was stranded, that i had a car trailer as well.

Must admit it goes through your mind while you are waiting but it wasn't a problem at all.

I can only say its well worth it!

I've checked previously and been told a trailer is covered - but it might mean a longer wait for recovery while they find a tow truck that can take the car and trailer.

I've got trailer cover with the RAC ---- fine --- till it's the trailer that goes!! --- had a wheel bearing eat itself on the trailer halfway through a 75 mile tow to an event. Couldn't tow it and no way to winch it up onto the bed.

They just had to shrug and admit defeat in the end --- sure it would be the same for any recover outfit. Ended up running round for the parts and fixing it beside the road :->
