Help for first timer

I am doing my first weekend meeting in July . My question is can I drive my car home after scrutineering and practice on Saturday or does it have to stay at the venue overnight ready for Sunday ?

Dan Friel 09-07-17 19:45

Doesn't have to stay at the venue. Don't forget to cover / remove race numbers (and take the timing strut off, which I always leave on by mistake).

I would insist that you were scrutineered again. You could have modified the car somewhat.....

I suspect you should inform the CoC that you are taking the car out of the venue and arrange to get checked by scrutineers again to cover yourself

Cover it up as stated above.
Go home and come back, uncover etc and have a good weekend.

Many will go to a fuel station even during a meeting.
If during a meeting, you should seek the permission of the Cof C, cover up and return directly etc.

As Red says (I think tongue in cheek) you could apply some demon tweeks, but the scrutes are there to ensure your car is safe, not Blue Book fully compliant.
You can make a car unsafe during a run far more than nipping home for the night!
Hope you have a great weekend! :D

If you're doing the Gurston Event on 21st / 22nd.. Just let the office know and a Scrutineer normally has a list to go around on Sunday morning.
